Maya Jewels:
In creating Maya Jewels, Chhaya Kapadia drew inspiration from two sources: her colorful childhood in Mumbai, where she was surrounded elaborate art and women wearing bangles up to their elbows, and her later years in New York, where she had a successful career in finance technology. She has built her brand on three key principles: intricate and clever designs, the use of forgotten art forms, and uncompromising craftsmanship.
The bangle bracelets in her Eclipse Collection are painstakingly handcrafted of oxidized bronze accented with stunning designs from the royal palaces of India in inlaid silver. Designer Chhaya Kapadia has taken this ancient art form, dating back as far as the early 13th century, and skillfully translated it into a timeless collection of masterpieces.
